This year I lost Christmas. The joy I once had in decorating the tree, baking cookies, shopping for gifts and taking evening walks to look at the lights, gone. Yesterday as I was thinking about what to get for this person, that person, the other persons it hit me. That’s what was sucking the joy out of Christmas. I was giving without a purpose…it was expected of me. I began to think, what if I gave something that was from the heart rather than from a shelf. Here is what many people will be getting from me this year:
Enclosed in each envelope will be 40 – 60 individual strips of paper, each with a different note of encouragement, some general and some meant for the person receiving the envelope. It’s been quite a task to give this gift but I’ve a renewed passion for Christmas
Have you ever stepped out of the box to give something unique as a gift?
Merry Christmas to you all and thanks for reading my brain splatter
